Timothy Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, Pacific University (Oregon, USA). His teaching and research interests include East Asian history, imperialism, the history of science and medicine, the history of business and capitalism, and the relationship between history and memory. His book manuscript, currently titled, "Drugs and the Business of Empire in Modern Japan," is forthcoming from Cornell University Press. Dr. Yang received his doctorate in History from Columbia University in 2013.
