Bringing together scholars of different disciplinary formations to investigate the complexity of individual linguistic expressions and strategize ways of conveying those particularities in another tongue, Translation Studies occupies a fascinating space where theoretical and the practical issues intersect. This group hopes not only to stimulate theoretical and practical conversations about translation but also to serve as the foundation for new curricular programs in the future. Co-conveners: Peter Burian (Classical Studies) and Martin Eisner (Romance Studies).
