In partnership with the Humanities Futures initiative, the Program in Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies (GSF) organized a multi-year series on Transgender Studies and the Humanities. In addition to an interdisciplinary speaker series that explored key issues in transgender studies scholarship, the project had a strong pedagogical emphasis, sponsoring workshops on trans-inclusive pedagogy and an independent study on trans studies curriculum in the US and Canada. For his 2016 independent study with GSF faculty Ara Wilson, Jeremy Gottlieb (BA, Duke, 2018) produced this overview of trans studies courses at 20 US and Canadian universities.
